The day before, there will be another speedway-based race — a makeup race for the Ace Speedway race series in Altamahaw, NC.

Held Under USA Cycling Permit (Permit Pending)
Rain Date: August 30

Participants must wear a securely fastened ANSI, Snell, CPSC or other approved helmet at all times while riding a bicycle at the event.
No sleeveless jerseys. Jerseys must cover upper arm and shoulders.

Registration: Registration is limited to 75 riders for Pro/1/2 race. All other races will be limited to 50 riders. Pre-registration is open on active.com and is recommended.

Early registration will close on August 14, 2009 at midnight. All riders categories 1-4 must have and present a valid USA Cycling License. All other participants (Cat 5 men, Cat 4 women and citizens) must purchase a $10.00 one day license. All riders must complete and sign the USA Cycling release form.

Additional races are $15.00.

On July 11, 2009, TLC will host its 4th annual bike tour, Ride for the Land. The tour will bring attention to TLC’s Chatham County farmland and forestland, and raise awareness of our efforts to preserve this critical piece of our natural heritage.

Ride for the Land 2009 features 30-mile, 45-mile and 60-mile routes through the beautiful rolling countryside of Chatham County, passing the farm and forest lands that TLC is working to conserve.
